Requirements and Hours

  • PSY 300 Orientation & Assessment, 0 credit hours
  • PSY 302 Research Methods in Psychology, 4 hours
  • Concentration & psychology elective courses, 28 hours
  • PSY 471 Senior Seminar, 4 hours
  • General Elective Courses, 12 hours
  • UIS Requirements: Public Affairs Colloquia, Applied Study Term, Liberal Studies Colloquia (2 or 3 areas required), 12 hours

Total Hours: 60

At least two of the psychology courses completed after PSY 302 Research Methods in Psychology must include formal writing assignments; such courses are identified by a "W" following the course number and title. Students must save their graded writing assignments from these courses for later use in PSY 471 Senior Seminar.
