Cheviron's presentation is titled "The American Way: Government-Industry Collaboration in the War on Terror." Currently responsible for security functions at all of ADM's 1,100 locations in 70 countries, he will discuss the effects that the shift in world conflict has made on private industry and in government-industry relationships, as well as on shared counterterrorism roles and intelligence partnerships. In addition to his position at ADM, Cheviron is also a member of the Executive Working Group of the U.S. Department of State Overseas Security Advisory Council.

The series continues Wednesday, October 18, with "Politicians, Lobbyists, and Scallywags."

The program includes a hot buffet lunch. Cost is $20 per person, $15 for Alumni Association members and their guests. Make reservations no later than Friday, September 15, by calling Alumni Relations at (217) 206-7395, registering on-line at www.uiaa.org/spfld/, or e-mailing alumni@uis.edu.
