U of I Alumni Association presents “Toast to Good Living” at UISSeptember 7, 2004SPRINGFIELD - The University of Illinois Alumni Association will sponsor a “Toast to Good Living” Sunday, September 26, in the Public Affairs Center on the University of Illinois at Springfield campus. The event is open to alumni of all three U of I campuses – Springfield, Champaign-Urbana, and Chicago – as well as to the public. Reservations are required. At 4:30 p.m. Dr. Abraham G. Kocheril, U of I associate professor of medicine, will make a presentation titled “The Wonders of Wine,” which will explain the health benefits of wine and the etiquette of enjoyment. At 6 p.m. a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception will feature tasting of good, affordable wines as well as a preview of the 2005 Explorers alumni travel program. Cost for the event is $15 per person for alumni association members and their guests and $25 for non-members. Reservations should be made no later than Friday, September 17.
