UIS Alumni Association to host Alumni Celebration Dinner

SPRINGFIELD – The University of Illinois Alumni Association at UIS will sponsor an Alumni Celebration Dinner on Friday, November 4, starting with a reception at 5:30 p.m. in the Sangamon Auditorium lobby, Public Affairs Center at UIS. Alumni, friends of the university, and members of the community are invited to attend.

Celebrating the campus’ 35th anniversary, the candlelight dinner will be hosted by father and daughter alumni Ed and Sara Wojcicki. Alumni achievement, service, and loyalty awards will be presented to Donna Sollenberger, Mary Rechner, Trudy Malkey, Peggy Mayfield, and Denise Yates. In addition, the evening will feature reminiscences on 35 years of campus life, displays of campus memorabilia, and musical entertainment by alumnae Becky Watts, Joan Sestak, Denise Yates, Ann Collins, and Barbara Burkhardt.
