The featured speaker will be Ronald D. McNeil, dean of the UIS College of Business and Management, who will discuss how scientific discoveries and efforts to manipulate particles at the sub-atomic levels that are occurring now could have a monumental impact on our everyday world. McNeil will describe how nanotechnology has the potential to affect the products we use, create products previously undreamed of, change education, alter careers and employment, and revolutionize the economy.  He will also discuss the human, legal, and educational implications from a domestic and global perspective.

Cost for the program – $18 per person, $13 for Alumni Association members and their guests – includes a hot buffet lunch.  To make reservations, call Alumni Relations at (217) 206-7395, register on-line at www.uiaa.org/spfld/, or e-mail alumni@uis.edu.
