Background: The new classroom/office building is being
constructed at a cost of $30 million and will be the largest structure (116,130
square feet) at UIS. It will house
technology-enhanced and smart classrooms, computer labs, lecture halls, and
academic and student affairs offices. Construction is expected to begin in
early December and be done by summer 2004.
