SPRINGFIELD – The University of Illinois at Springfield will host a discussion on “National Security and Civil Liberties” from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31, in conference room H in the Public Affairs Center on the UIS campus. The program is free and open to the public.
The program will feature a brief presentation on issues surrounding the current international situation, followed by an in-depth discussion and question-and-answer session.
Speakers will be Larry Golden, professor of political studies and legal studies, and Patrick Chesley, assistant United States attorney and terrorism coordinator for central Illinois.
