UIS to host Raise Your Voice – Lobby Day at the Capitol

SPRINGFIELD - The University of Illinois at Springfield will host “Raise Your Voice – Lobby Day,” a two-day conference at UIS and the Illinois Statehouse, on Sunday and Monday, April 10 and 11. The conference is sponsored by the Illinois Campus Compact in conjunction with the Office of Student Volunteers and Service Learning and Illinois Issues magazine at UIS.

Students from member campuses will attend forums on civic engagement; receive training for lobbying; and talk with invited legislators, lobbyists, and special guests.  The event will culminate with a rally at the State Capitol Rotunda.
