“Living in Free Expression” is next show at UIS gallery

SPRINGFIELD -- “Living in Free Expression,” an annual senior art show, will be on display in the Visual Arts Gallery at the University of Illinois at Springfield from March 26 to April 18. An opening reception with the artists is set for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, in the gallery. Both the exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public.

This is the first of two exhibits of works by graduating seniors in UIS’ Visual Arts program that will be hosted by the gallery this semester. Represented in this exhibit are paintings by Phil Freese and Crescence McHenry, ceramics by Angela Meyer, photography by Chanthala Thongsithavong, graphic design by Douglas Welk, and photography and ceramics by Abby Wright.
