IACE Mapping Standards

The Information Assurance Courseware Evaluation (IACE) Program is a systematic assessment of the degree to which courseware from commercial, government, and academic sources maps to national standards. Certified institutions are considered as meeting minimum national training and education standards for several professions, including information assurance, designated approving authority, system administrators in information systems security, information systems security officers, and system certifiers.

IACE was established under the authority of the National Security Telecommunications and Information Systems Security Committee, predecessor of today's Committee on National Security Systems, an inter-governmental organization that sets policy for national security systems of the federal government.
