Media Advisory: Center for Entrepreneurship to award grantsJune 15, 2006What: UIS Center for Entrepreneurship will award grants to ten small innovative businesses in Springfield and the area. Some awardees will also receive private donations from local business owners. The awards program is about fostering small business growth in the Greater Springfield area. When: 12:45 p.m. Friday, June 16 Where: PAC Restaurant, located on the lower level of UIS’ Public Affairs Center. Details: This is the first time that the Center has awarded such grants. The winning businesses were selected by a panel of judges. Most business owners and private donors are expected to be present for the awards program. The Center for Entrepreneurship is located in UIS’ College of Business and Management.
