Pre-White House Conference on Aging summit cancelled

July 26, 2005

SPRINGFIELD – “The Booming Dynamics of Aging: From Awareness to Action,” a Pre-White House Conference on Aging summit scheduled for Friday, July 29, at the University of Illinois at Springfield, has been cancelled.

Carolyn Peck, assistant professor of Human Services-Gerontology at UIS, who was to have been one of the speakers at the summit, noted that those who had registered for the event may be interested in an upcoming conference on “The Spectrum of Dementia Care” that the UIS Gerontology concentration will cosponsor with Memorial Medical Center in September. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Geri Richards Hall, clinical professor in the Adult and Gerontology area at the University of Iowa College of Nursing.

Contact Peck at 206-7577 for more information.
