WUIS to air special coverage of Presidential InaugurationJanuary 18, 2005SPRINGFIELD – WUIS Public Radio 91.9 FM Springfield – 89.3 Pittsfield will provide live coverage of the inauguration of President George W. Bush on Thursday, January 20. Live coverage begins at 10:30 a.m. with the official swearing-in ceremony for the vice president and president. President Bush’s inaugural address is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. National Public Radio’s Linda Wertheimer will host the coverage with NPR White House correspondent Don Gonyea. Commentary from various public radio reporters stationed around the Capitol and Washington, D.C., will be featured. WUIS-WIPA, a listener-supported broadcast service of the University of Illinois at Springfield, is celebrating its 30th year on the air.
