Media Advisory - Q and A with Louis FisherJanuary 18, 2005What: Question-and-Answer Session with Louis Fisher When & Where: Today - Tuesday, January 18, 2005; 1:30 to 2:15 p.m.; Food Emporium, lower level of the Public Affairs Center at UIS Details: Fisher is a senior specialist in separation of powers with the Congressional Research Service of the Library of Congress and one of the nation’s foremost authorities on the Constitution, the presidency, and presidential war powers. In 1987, he served as research director of the House Iran-Contra Committee and wrote major sections of the final report. He will speak at UIS at 7:30 this evening in Brookens Auditorium on the topic “President Bush and the War on Terrorism.” Fisher’s appearance in Springfield is sponsored by the World Affairs Council of Central Illinois, the UIS Center for State Policy and Leadership, and Lincoln Land Community College.
