Governor’s Budget Address carried live on WUISFebruary 8, 2006SPRINGFIELD – Public Radio WUIS 91.9 FM will broadcast Governor Rod Blagojevich’s annual Budget Address before a joint session of the Illinois general assembly live, in its entirety, beginning at noon on Wednesday, February 15. The station’s analysis of the speech will be hosted by WUIS News Director Rich Bradley and Statehouse Bureau Chief Sean Crawford and will feature Charles Wheeler, director of UIS’ Public Affairs Reporting program. Wheeler also holds a joint appointment in the Institute for Legislative Studies at UIS.
The station will re-broadcast the Governor’s address at 8 p.m.; the speech and analysis will also be available through the station’s live streaming service at www.wuis.org. This special coverage is made possible by support from Private Banking Centre in Springfield.
