Prairie Stars Men’s Basketball Move Up to #19February 1, 2006SPRINGFIELD – The UIS Prairie Stars men’s basketball team, following wins over American Midwest Conference foes Williams Baptist University and Columbia College, have moved up from #21 to #19 in this week’s National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Top 25 National Poll.
UIS worked its way up in this weeks’ poll with a 102-85 home win over the Eagles of Williams Baptist University and then a 68-63 road-victory over the Cougars of Columbia College. The Prairie Stars, undefeated in conference play so far, will host the Hornets of Harris Stowe State University on Thursday, February 2, in the last game of the first half of conference play. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. The NAIA Top 25 National Poll can be found on the web at www.naia.collegesports.com.
