Media Advisory - Tech Day at UIS

April 6, 2005

What: “Tech Day: Fast Forward - the Future of Technology and Learning at UIS” 

When: 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, April 8 

Where: 2nd floor of University Hall at UIS           

Details: UIS is a showcase of new technologies for teaching and learning. How are these technologies making a difference for educational outcomes? What are some of the issues to consider as we move to the next stage of technology-enhanced learning?

The day will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a keynote address by Dr. Jacqueline Moloney, dean of Continuing Studies at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. From 10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. concurrent presentations and poster sessions by UIS faculty, staff, and students will focus on such topics as smart classrooms, computer security, and tutoring online students.
