Media Advisory - Verbal Arts Festival eventsApril 5, 2005What: Annual UIS Verbal Arts Festival When & Where: April 6 through 8, on the UIS campus; see schedule of events below. Details: Thursday, April 7: Alchemist Review Release Party at 7 p.m. in the Student Housing Commons. Celebrates the release of the 2005 edition of UIS’ literary journal with readings by some of this year’s authors. Friday, April 8: Open Mic for guest poets at 7 p.m. in the Student Recreation Center. Saturday, April 9: “Conversation Pieces: Politics, Sex, Religion,” a reader’s theater of short plays and monologs about favorite topics at 7 p.m. in Brookens Auditorium.
