April 5, 2005

SPRINGFIELD - The University of Illinois Alumni Association at UIS will present “William Maxwell: A Literary Life,” the third and final program in this spring’s Taste of UIS: Distinguished Faculty/Alumni Lunchtime Lecture Series, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at Maldaner’s Upstairs, 222 South Sixth St., Springfield. Reservations are required and should be made no later than Tuesday, April 19.

Featured speaker will be Barbara Burkhardt, UIS alumna and assistant professor of English, whose book on Maxwell was published this spring by the U of I Press.
