National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week

WHAT: UIS students will put “beer goggles” on and drive around in a golf cart in an effort to educate them about drunk driving during National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week

WHEN: Wednesday, October 21, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

WHERE: UIS Main Quad

DETAILS: The UIS Counseling Center is planning an obstacle course that students will try to navigate through with the “beer goggles” on. The center will also have the seat belt convincer on hand to teach them the importance of buckling up. Students will be encouraged to sign red ribbon pledge cards against drunk driving at an event on Thursday.
