SPRINGFIELD - The UIS Alumni Exhibition, a group showing of works by outstanding recent alumni of the Visual Arts program, will be on display in the Visual Arts Gallery at the University of Illinois at Springfield through Friday, April 18.

A wine and hors d'oeuvres reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 11, as part of the campus' annual Arts Night celebration. The reception and exhibit are free and open to the public.
Arts Night, presented as an opportunity for the community to enjoy a variety of arts-related activities, is supported by the Office of UIS Alumni Relations. Other events are a recital by UIS music groups beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Office of Electronic Media's TV studio, located in the lower level of the Public Affairs Center; and a performance of UIS Theatre's production of Period of Adjustment, by Tennessee Williams, beginning at 8 p.m. in the Studio Theatre, also in the lower level of the PAC. The Visual Arts Gallery is located in room 201 of the Health and Sciences Building on the UIS campus. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
