SPRINGFIELD -- The University of Illinois at Springfield will host a performance by Grammy nominee Phil Coulter with his Irish Pops Orchestra on Wednesday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m. at Sangamon Auditorium, UIS.
Over a career that spans four decades, Irish pop star Coulter has shown an unerring ability to catch the public's ear. His hits have been recorded by a litany of stars from Sinead O'Connor to Elvis Presley, and his production skills have been called on by iconic performers including Van Morrison and James Galway. In his native Ireland, he is the biggest-selling instrumentalist of all time. Coulter has taken his particular blend of orchestral music around the world and now, with his Irish Pops Orchestra, he makes his first appearance at Sangamon Auditorium for an evening performance of Irish pop melodies and hits.
