Retired U.S. Marshal Robert Moore will speak on "The President's Men – The Untold Story, Black U.S. Marshals" as part of the campus' observance of Black History month.  Moore holds two degrees from the University of Illinois at Springfield and has had a distinguished career in law enforcement, serving as a chief of police, deputy chief of police, state police officer, affirmative action officer, and deputy sheriff in addition to his stint as U.S. Marshal.  Following his retirement, he developed an exhibit to honor his African American colleagues who served the President of the United States and to inform the public about the valuable service that they have given their country for more than 133 years. The exhibit is presently on a national tour and was recently displayed at the U.S. Courthouse in St. Louis.

The next program in the series, on Wednesday, April 23, is titled "If not now when? Isn't it about time to start pursuing your dreams?" Speakers will be UIS Professor of Management Don O'Neal and UIS alumnus Donald T. Johnson, chairman, president and CEO of Aftermarket Technology Corporation.

Programs in the series run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and include a buffet lunch. Cost is $20 per person, $15 for Alumni Association members and their guests.
