SPRINGFIELD – Linda S. Anderson has been named associate director for marketing and circulation of Illinois Issues magazine and Center Publications at the University of Illinois at Springfield.

In this capacity she is responsible for the magazine's marketing, advertising, and underwriting activities, including special events, as well as for directing promotion of all other materials produced by Center Publications, a unit of the Center for State Policy and Leadership at UIS.
Anderson has over 19 years experience in public relations, communications, and marketing with various nonprofit, government, and corporate organizations. Prior to joining the Center staff, Anderson taught journalism and English and supervised the student newspaper at Pleasant Plains High School since 1999. She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and is pursuing a master's degree at UIS.
Now in its 32nd year, Illinois Issues is a monthly publication focusing on analysis of public policy, with a special emphasis on state government and politics. It is part of Center Publications, which produces scholarly and journalistic resources on public policy and government in Illinois, designed to encourage informed and ethical decision-making, civic engagement, and activities that improve the quality of life for all.
UIS' Center for State Policy and Leadership provides a national stage for scholars, students, policymakers, and citizens to exchange ideas, engage in research, and expand understanding of public policy issues.
