SPRINGFIELD – The UIS Alumni SAGE Society will host a Summer Party beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Island Bay Yacht Club, 76 Yacht Club Rd., Springfield. Advance reservations are requested by June 8.
The SAGE society, affiliated with the University of Illinois Alumni Association, is designed to provide service opportunities, activities, growth, and engagement with the university. Membership is open to alumni, age 50 and over, of any U of I campus, as well as to retired faculty and staff of the University of Illinois at Springfield and to community members interested in learning opportunities or service to the university.
Upcoming plans include launching the UIS/SSU Legacy Project, for which the group is seeking memorabilia and reminiscences from students who attended Sangamon State University, and a fall "lunch and learn" series.
