Finding campus images

  • Generally, it is ok for you to use any of the photos you find on the UIS website. If you are not sure, please contact us.

  • View pages on the UIS website. If you see a photo you would like to use, right-click and save it to your computer.

  • You may want to look through the A-Z Index and click to view department websites that might have the types of photos you are looking for:
    http://www.uis.edu/AZindex/

  • Check out the photos we have available for download in the Newsroom:
    http://www.uis.edu/newsroom/downloads.html
Click on a photo you see there to make it larger; then right-click to save it.

  • View our Flickr account:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/illinoisspringfield/
You can right-click to save many of the photos (some are not available to download).

  • View the photo galleries on the Web Services website:
    http://www.uis.edu/webservices/tools/webphotos.html
The photos there are a couple of years old, but you may find something you can use.

  • If you know how to map a drive, you can map to this shared directory (on campus only):
         \\uisweb1\public$
Inside is a folder called Photos. Inside are many images from recent years.

  • Check with our Creative Director, Diana Nelson [dnels1@uis.edu].
She can locate specific types of photos you may be looking for.
