Cheney quoted in recent publications

UIS faculty member Michael Cheney was quoted in two publications recently.

In a cover story in the March 3 issue of USA Today about the role of super delegates in the Democratic presidential primary process, Cheney said that the super delegates have emerged as "the critical constituency in the nomination. No one expected the super delegates to have such a significant role."

Cheney was also quoted in a St. Louis Post Dispatch article about the role of new media, such as YouTube, in political campaigns.

Asked if such videos really add anything to a democratic society, Cheney replied, "There is so much interactivity" that "YouTube has changed politics in that way. And it's changed it forever."
