Ryan Williams, assistant professor of Criminal Justice, was a resource for the article "Teens & Guns: What can be done?" which examined the growing problem of students bringing firearms to school. Nancy Perkins conducts writing workshop

Nancy Perkins, associate professor and past-chair of the English program, conducted a two-hour Historical Writing Workshop at the Janice Mason Art Museum, in Cadiz, Kentucky, on June 8. The event was sponsored by Eldora's Books, Inc., along with the museum. Perkins was invited to present this workshop because of her extensive background teaching writing in various subgenres of creative nonfiction.

Michael Cheney is keynote speaker

Michael Cheney, professor of Communication, delivered the keynote address at the 2007 Faculty Summer Institute at Governor's State University. His speech, titled "Communication Technology and Online Learning: Now What?," addressed how the influx of new communication technologies and new thinking about online learning have created the need for a new and more robust paradigm for instructional development.
