Nancy Perkins invited to read her poetry
Nancy Perkins, associate professor and past chair of the English Department, was the invited, featured poet on September 20 at Coffee And . . ., which is located in Books on Main, Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The reading was followed by a dinner.
Perkins, who writes and reads her creative works under her first two names, nancy genevieve, read selections from her first two poetry books and new works from her third book, NYX: Sister of Erebus. The third book centers on a woman's journey through Erebus, the nether region between this world and the next. It uses the emotional terrain of Perkins' mother's journey with Alzheimer's.
