Trustees approve CEHS redesignation to "departments"

At its January 17 meeting, the U of I Board of Trustees approved a proposal to change the designation of academic units in the UIS College of Education and Human Services from "programs" to "departments." The redesignation to departments administered by chairs is designed to facilitate more efficient operations.

CEHS comprises Educational Leadership, Human Development Counseling, Human Services, Social Work, and Teacher Education.

The action is subject to review by the Illinois Board of Higher Education.
