U of I Office of Planning and Administration receives grant and award

Three members of the U of I system's Office of Planning and Administration traveled to Washington, D.C., on Dec. 10 to receive a $50,000 grant and a 2007 Mellon Award for Technology Collaboration for innovative open-source software development. Presenting the award at the Fall Task Force meeting of the Coalition for Networked Information was Sir Timothy Berners-Lee, director of the World Wide Web Consortium and one of the inventors of the World Wide Web.
