Remembrance Library at Washington Middle School
The UIS English program is partnering with Washington Middle School in Springfield to establish a Holocaust Remembrance Library at the school.
Damon McParland, who earned an MA in English at UIS and who now teaches eighth grade English at WSM, is spearheading the effort.
Donations are being sought. To see a list of books suggested by the Holocaust Museum in Washington, go to www.springfield.k12.il.us/schools/washington.
