Media Advisory: Homecoming Parade
What: Homecoming Parade at the University of Illinois at Springfield
When & Where: 5 p.m., Saturday, October 4, UIS campus
Details: UIS’ Homecoming Week 2008 is capped off with the Third Annual Homecoming Parade. Some 25 entries, including 12 student groups, will participate in the parade which will feature walking units, floats, bands, fire trucks, candy, and possibly construction equipment. UIS mascot Blue the Star is scheduled to appear as parade marshal.
Parking will be available along the route in lots A, C, D, F, and G.

After the parade, a Homecoming BBQ & Lawn Party will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the east side of Kiwanis Stadium, followed at 7 p.m. by a men's soccer game pitting UIS against Williams Baptist College.
