The mission of UIS Music is to provide foundation curricula in music principles, methods, performance techniques and history.
UIS offers several music performance courses such as the chorus, band, and chamber orchestra.

The UIS Spring Music Showcase is Friday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the Studio Theater. Free admission. Donations benefit the UIS Student Music Merit Award.

Get involved this Spring!
Spring semester rehearsals begin the first week of classes: Tuesday, January 17, 2012.
To join the concert band, chamber orchestra, or chorus, simply attend the first rehearsal.
All rehearsals take place in the evening in VPA 33.
Rehearsal schedules are as follows:
- Band: Mondays 4-5:50
- Chamber Orchestra: Thursdays 5:40-7:30
- Chorus: Tuesdays 7-9:15 & Thursdays 3:30-5:30
