The UIS Band is an integral part of the developing collegiate atmosphere on the UIS Campus! Composed of UIS students, faculty, staff and local community members, the UIS Band performs original concert band music, transcriptions, jazz, and more.
Participation in the UIS Band is open to all woodwind, brass and percussion players. Auditions for chair placement may be held early each semester, but no audition is required for membership.
Contact the director, Mr. Todd Cranson, for membership details.
Students may audition for paid positions with the UIS Pep Band. Auditions will be held September 15-19, 2008, and the Pep Band will perform multiple times during Homecoming Week, September 29-October 4, 2008. Performances at basketball games will begin in January 2009. More information about the Men's and Women's Basketball Pep Bands coming soon!
