Advising

The Master Teacher Leadership (MTL) Online Coordinator is the adviser for all MTL students. Advising is provided beginning throughout the Admission process and continuing through graduation. The MTL program prides itself on the relationships established with students throughout their educational endeavor by providing exceptional student-service, ongoing communication, and timely response.

After students are admitted to the MTL program, the adviser will assist students with establishing necessary user accounts, first semester coursework, ordering textbooks, and registering for courses. Within the first semester of enrollment, students will work with the adviser to create their individualized semester-by-semester course plan of study to fulfill degree requirements. Course plans play a vital role within each student’s course of study. Based on the student’s course plan, registration permissions will be established prior to registration opening for the upcoming semester. The MTL Office Support Specialist sends a confirmation email of registration permissions (WPI – With Permission of Instructor) being established providing registration deadlines, course number/title, and course reference number to aid student’s through the registration process. The course plan reserves a “seat” for the first 30-days of registration, while also providing each student with a “blueprint” of their degree completion for planning purposes. Students are always welcome to modify their course plans by working with the advisor.
