Students Overview

Machalkboard 2ster Teacher Leadership (MTL) graduates are known as teacher-leaders who excel in their teaching situations and non-administrative leadership roles in their organizations and communities. MTL graduates leave the program with renewed teaching methodologies, technology abilities, and knowledge to lead their organizations in school improvement efforts.

MTL is designed specifically for educators in a classroom situation who wish to assume leadership roles in their environments, but who do not plan to pursue a Type 75 administration certification. The MTL program also serves professionals outside the field of education desiring to assume training or leadership roles within their professional setting whom are seeking to gain knowledge in the areas of technology, leadership, and teaching methodologies.

MTL courses are offered entirely online allowing busy professionals to advance their knowledge and careers at the convenience of their personal and professional demanding schedules. Online courses allow students the unique opportunity to learn and network with professionals globally.

MTL coursework is conducted entirely online and is characterized by lectures, text reading, discussions, and projects, with emphasis on reflection and writing. All course projects are designed with a classroom application focus. Courses include studies in teaching, leadership, research, technology use, and a master’s closure project.
