Sarah C. Phalen
Sarah Phalen (MBA, 1999) was recently named President and CEO of Illinois National Bank (INB).
The day after Sarah graduated from UIUC she started her career at First of America (which changed to National City and then PNC) in Springfield. First of America offered the opportunity for post-secondary education so Sarah investigated the executive MBA program offered by UIUC. However, she soon realized she could get a similar education closer to home, at UIS. She says what she didn't anticipate was the great environment, the support of the professors, and the UIS community. To this day, many of her classmates are her closest business associates and friends.
Sarah is married to Pat Phalen, also an executive at INB, and has 3 children.
