UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT SPRINGFIELD
The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Illinois at Springfield is taking applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level to begin on August 15, 2010. Doctorate in pure mathematics is required with a demonstrated ability in undergraduate teaching preferred. Candidates with specialty in all areas will be considered, but areas related to geometry are preferred. Teaching duty includes Calculus series and online upper division math courses including Geometry. The successful candidate will develop and teach online courses which support the department’s online B.A. program. Other duty includes advising undergraduate mathematics majors. Demonstrated potential for scholarship and service activities desired.
