OB Faculty Position
The University of Illinois at Springfield invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position within the College of Business and Management. Rank: assistant or associate professor based on credentials with salary and benefits AACSB competitive and a start date of August 2010 or as negotiated. Delivery of management courses (on/off campus and online) primarily in the area of organziational behavior, organization development, power and negotiation, and human resource management at the graduate and undergraduate levels: student advising; production of intellectual contributions leading to publication in refereed journals; and service are required.
An earned doctorate in Organizational Studies, Management or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required; a secondary area of human resource management is preferred; a record of excellence in teaching or be able to demonstrate the potential for excellence in instruction is essential; ability to interact with both traditional and non-traditional learners is needed; a record of publications in refereed journals is necessary for the associate rank or demonstration of capability to satisfy the research requirements is required for the assistant rank.
Located in the state capital, the University of Illinois at Springfield is one of three campuses of the University of Illinois. The UIS campus serves approximately 4,500 students in 20 graduate and 21 undergraduate programs.
