Liberal Studies students may identify what they wish to learn and design their own course based upon this goal. The process of designing an independent study will require a student to outline a study plan, select the necessary learning resources, and seek a faculty member who will mentor and evaluate the learning. The LIS Independent Study Proposal form provides a format to supply this information and acts as a guide so that students will know all of the information they'll need to pursue an independent study.
LIS 380 - Exploration of Learning Resources
LIS 499 - Independent Study: Tutorial
LIS 471 - Honors Thesis (Students should discuss the Honor's Thesis option with their faculty advisor.)
