The University of Illinois Springfield in Peoria recently opened a new University of Illinois  Peoria Center in the Illinois Central College Perley Building, Room 120, on 115 Southwest Adams Street in Peoria, Illinois.

The center recently moved to its new downtown location after residing on the ICC Campus in East Peoria for 34 years.  Jana Wise, director of the UIS Peoria Center, informed UIS that the new location made it possible to join UIS’s MBA courses with undergraduate courses in the same building.

Dean of the UIS College of Business and Management, Ronald D. McNeil, also shared with UIS that the goal of the new Peoria Center was to put a physical location with our name.  He said, “Our sign representing the University of Illinois Springfield.”

The UIS Peoria Center offers mostly evening and weekend classes that consist of many working students and faculty.  In fact, many of the same faculty members who teach here at UIS drive to Peoria to teach in the evenings.

The programs offered at the UIS Peoria Center include: a bachelor of arts degree in Accountancy, a bachelor of arts degree in Management, a bachelor of arts in Criminal Justice, a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), and a minor in Management Information Systems.  The Peoria Center also offers three online business degree completion programs including: a bachelor’s degree in Economics, bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA), and the Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems.
