The Indian Student Organization (ISO) and Indian Society for Enriching Ethical Standards (ISEES) had a Welcome Party on SUnday, October 5, welcoming the Fall'08 students and the rest of the UIS community back to school. The event had a huge turnout, as almost 120 students showed up. A short video highlighting the ISO's activities over the past year kick started the proceedings for the evening. It was followed by a BINGO game and a game of Twister.

Jonathan Goldberg-Belle, the ISO advisor, was also present at the event and briefly addressed the gathering. The fresh Fall '08 batch had a great opportunity to make new friends and learn a lot about being and staying the USA. This was followed by a couple of energetic dance performances by Indian students. Delicious Indian food was served, as the students had been missing the Indian spices right from the time they left their homes. After dinner, the dance floor was thrown open and the students danced till they dropped. The students rocked the music for about 2 hours. The party finally wound up close to midnight and everybody went back home tired and content from an evening full of fun. It was a memorable moment for al the Indian students on campus and also for a few other international students attend the party.
