Ryan Tosh - Athletic Trainer

September 24, 2008

1. How do you think the Cubs will do in the playoffs?

We're going all the way. Anything less than a World Series would be a disappointment.

2. What are your top songs on your iPod right now?

"Hey John What's Your Name Again" by The Devil Wears Prada
"Whispers in the Dark" by Skillet
"Ohio is For Lovers" by Hawthorne Heights
"Beat It" by Fall Out Boy

3. If you could have dinner with any three people who would they be?

Ronald Reagan, Ernie Banks, and Jesus.

4. As a personal trainer, you have any insight as to what is in the magic sponge trainers use during soccer matches?

No. I don't really watch soccer. If I had to guess it's probably just cold water.

5. When you were studying to be a personal trainer, did you also learn how to drive a golf cart?

I picked it up all by myself.

6. What's one thing they don't tell you when you're learning to be a personal trainer that they should?

You basically become a parent to all the athletes.

7. What's one thing no one can beat you at?

Nerf basketball.

8. Just watching you interact with the athletes you work with, it seems like you'd be pretty good at charades. (Tosh was working with an athlete to figure out the volume and sensation of a pop in her knee). You think so?

I think I'd be a phenomenal charades player. Part of my job is convincing athletes they're not as hurt as they think they are.
