1.Many people believe golf is boring and for old people. Why is that assumption incorrect?

To be honest, a lot of old people do play golf. On top of that, golf is played at a very slow pace, so people get the wrong impression of it. People forget, though, that it’s still a competitive sport. It’s definitely a lot tougher than it looks. To really be the best, it takes tons of time, physical ability, and hard work. Just look at Tiger Woods.

2.What sports other than golf do you dominate?

I wouldn’t say I dominated, but I was not a bad QB in high school. Our team went to the 1A semifinals and I made the Academic All-State Team. I love track too. I was 12th in 1A for the 400 m. my senior year.

3.What is one lesson you have learned this year as a player and as a person?

To be honest, the biggest thing I’ve learned in college golf is that my ego needs to be knocked down a bit. It takes way more time and effort at the college level, and the competition is a lot better. I came out of high school thinking I was hot stuff. I found out at college that’s not true.

4.If you could have front-row concert tickets to see any performer or band, who would you see?

Probably T.I. or the Foo Fighters...I listen to them both when I’m out practicing.

5.What do you do when you are not elevating your game to the next level?

When I’m not golfing? Probably sleeping, eating, sitting in class, chillin with friends, or being the coolest redhead kid at any party.
