1. What is the purpose of the Spirit Squad?

The purpose of the spirit squad is to encourage the crowd to have excitement. Nobody wants to go to a basketball game that doesn’t have enthusiastic people.

2. Which do you prefer, the Electric Slide or Soulja Boy’s “Crank Dat Superman” and why?

“Crank Dat Superman,” because when I learned how to do it, it always made me laugh when the song came on. No matter where I was at, I always had to do the dance. My favorite place was doing it at Mowie’s, because I would always play it on the jukebox and me and my friend would
always do it and look ridiculous. But life is about having fun. You only live once!

3. What is your favorite song to dance to?

I honestly don’t have a favorite song to dance to; I love all sorts of music.

4. What is it like performing in front of crowds?

It is nerve-wracking, because once you are in front of everyone, you have the whole crowd judging you and not just a coach anymore. I enjoy it, though, because it’s fun and not everyone likes being in front of crowds; If they did, they would be up there too.

5. Have you ever had an embarrassing case of stage fright?

I have, but not with dance. In high school, I had my first solo in front of everyone and I just froze.

6. Describe your ideal vacation.

I would love going anywhere along the coast and live on the beach for like a week just to relax and be away from Springfield. I have lived here my whole life.
