Mike and Ryan McKillips
Golfers

1.In your opinion, what is the greatest sports duo ever?

Ryan: The greatest sports duo ever would have to be Jaromir Jagr and Mario Lemieux. I’m a big hockey fan and I remember watching these two dominate everyone on the ice when I was a little kid. They are a big reason why I like hockey so much.

Mike: The greatest sports duo ever is Tiger Woods and Tiger Woods. This is because he beats players with his physical game and his mental game.

2. What is the most common misconception people have about twins?

Ryan: The most common misconception people have about twins is that they always think we wear the same clothes. I would not even think about wearing my brother’s boxers. We even have our initials on our clothes so we don’t get them mixed up.

Mike: The most common misconception of twins is probably that they like to do everything together even when they don’t

3.What are nicknames that people give each of you individually
and as a pair?

Ryan: People never really give me a nickname but everyone just groups us together by calling us the McKillips or the twins. I guess it’s because we always do the same thing.

Mike: Individually, the golfers call me floppy chicken because of my unorthodox swing...my friends call me ‘m doubles’ but most always it’s just Mike.

4. If you two work together like peanut butter and jelly, who is
who and why?

Ryan: It all depends on the situation, I guess. We are pretty much the same person so it really doesn’t matter who is who.

Mike: In all honesty we both can be either because we are very
similar.

5.What are your best sports moments?

Ryan: My personal best would be when I won my first golf tournament
my junior year summer at Belk Park golf course. This is the best moment because I was four over par the first four holes and ended up shooting an even par round of 72 then followed that up with another 72 the second day to win. It was a really cool experience. My second best was when I shot a 68 at St. Albans Country Club in a big tournament the following year. This was one of my best moments because it was the first time I ever shot under par in a tournament.

Mike: My best sport moment would probably be in little league baseball when I hit a grand slam and a single homerun in the same inning.
