| MARCUS ON USC-OSU GAME: | ROBERT ON CHI-CAR GAME |
| This game looks like it will be the biggest game of the year, well at least for now. These two teams continue to compete for the BCS championship each year. USC, 1-0, led by QB Mark Sanchez crushed Virginia 52-7 in the first week of the season. Their high power offense is a going to be a good matchup against Ohio State’s defense. The Buckeyes blasted Youngstown State in the first week of the season 43-0 and on Saturday struggled, but pulled off the win against Ohio 26-14. Currently I’m uncertain of RB Beanie Wells playing status, and he is a very big factor for Ohio State offensively. Because of the struggles that they had against this mid-major team. I believe that they will have plenty of struggles against the Trojans. This game sounds close on paper, but on the field it won’t be. |
Both Carolina and Chicago will enter their week two match up with momentum. Carolina won after Jake Delhomme threw a bullet to his receiver in the end zone with no time left to stun the Chargers. Matt Forte of the Bears looked like how Curtis Enis, Rashaan Salaam, and Cedric Benson were supposed to look. But then again the Colts rush D makes anyone look good. Carolina will win this match up because of an efficient offense that should be able to move the ball against the Bears. The Panthers running backs averaged over five yards a carry against a Chargers defense that was dominant last year. The biggest concern for the Panthers will be finding a go-to receiver in the last game before Steve Smith returns to the team. Expect Mushin Muhammad to emerge against his old team. |
