The Mission Improv-ables show seems like it could only be the result of a thorough brainstorming session from comedic geniuses. Or the results of a mad lib concocted by a bunch of prepubescent 13 year olds.

It makes no difference though, when it’s all being outrageously acted out by a group of grown men in front of gutter-minded college students.

About 40 people turned up at the Food Emporium on March 27 to see Mission Improv-able, a nationally touring group of performers hailing from Chicago. The event was hosted by Student Life.
As soon as audiences arrived to see guys dressed like “Men in Black” wannabes eyeing everyone suspiciously through

tinted lenses, it was easy to see that a night of entertainment would ensue - even if the only laughter was at the expense of the aforementioned mysterious looking strangers.
However, the audience ended up laughing with, rather than at the improv troupe, who proved that their comedic skills could do much more than simply entertain the group by involving them in the act from the beginning.

Following with their undercover-Caucasian-brother theme, Mission Improv-able members encircled the audience during their introduction, running around them to the music of the “Mission Impossible” theme and introducing each other with codenames such as Agent Lonestar and Agent Timebomb. This quickly fueled the one thing that improv comedy feeds off of - audience interaction.
In the first mission, audiences were asked to list few emotions. The Mission Improv-able team took a situation of a prisoner committing suicide and his, and with the blow of whistle they begun to act out the situation.

In the next mission, two of the agents were sent to what they called the sound proof box and the audience were asked to list a few lines from their favorite movie and the things they would look for when they enter any store.

Then the agents from the sound proof box were called in and a conversation was started between them with a few missing dialogues which were filled from a list collected from the audience.
There was another routine in which Agent Reactive was sent to a sound proof box and the audience was asked to list a specific object, animal or object. They were also asked to list a few words that would describe the object and how would they like those words to be described to the agent.

The group delivered a high energy, fast paced stream of hilarity wrought with comical outbursts of cleverness and pure silliness that would make anyone who thought they were even halfway decent at the game of charades hang their head in shame.
