Lady Gaga is a singer-songwriter who focuses on electonica and dance music. Her new album was released on Oct. 28.

I was not sure what to expect when I got Lady Gaga's The Fame, but I was pleasantly surprised.  The album came out Oct. 28 and has done fairly well in the past few weeks. Her album has an electronic dance feel to it, similar to Madonna’s Confessions On A Dance Floor. However, Lady Gaga sets herself apart from the other young artists that are out there by having a different sound and an attitude that lets one know she is not a girl with which you should mess around.

A lot of her songs have a dance-driven beat, but it's not just noise.  She can actually sing very well, possessing a strong and solid voice.

Just Dance is the first single off the album and it features Colby O’Donis (a.k.a. Akon).  This song is the reason I bought the album.  A great club song, it's message basically revolves around having a good time.  Another fun song on this album is Lovegame.  It’s a little slower, but has a great beat. I can’t help but sing along.  Both of those songs are infectious.

There are some other songs on the album that are slower, but still have an electro vibe to them. Summerboy is a good love song. Again Again is another one that is not as fast paced as the others, but still good.

This album is different, which is why it's so great. It’s not the normal pop stuff one hears on the radio.  Whether it's for driving, having a party, or going out dancing, Lady Gaga can provide the soundtrack. I give this album 4 stars.
